What we collect

Early access signup collects name, age, gender, dating preferences, college, email, at least three artists, at least three favorite sitcoms, a current-student and 18+ declaration, and terms acceptance. Earlier email-only signups may also contain an optional phone number. It does not create a Firebase account or opt you into marketing. Existing member accounts additionally store account ID, name, age, gender, college, artists, sitcoms, and their separate marketing choice. When you redeem the required promo code, we record its redemption and the inviting account. We also store your invite allowance, notification read status, and administrative review records.

Why we collect it

To run the student waitlist, review applications, enforce invitation limits, show your saved application and updates, and manage access. Email verification and college ID are not required for the waitlist. Student eligibility is reviewed by the team.

Who can see it

Signup details are available only to authorized super-admins. Member application details are visible to that member and authorized super-admins. Other applicants cannot browse it. Students can see how many places remain on their invitation link, but not the recipient's name, email, or application. The current release does not publish profiles or provide dating chat.

Storage and services

Firebase Authentication handles sign-in and Google sign-in where selected. Firestore stores signup introductions, applications, invitation records, notifications, rate limits, and audit history. A necessary, private browser cookie lets your original browser recover its invitation and remove the signup for up to 30 days. Rate limits store hashed identifiers, including an IP-derived identifier on Vercel, to limit automated submissions. Server credentials stay private. We are not collecting student proof images, Spotify data, or AI document analyses for this release. The analytics identifier is configured, but analytics collection is not enabled.

Your choices

Use Remove this signup on the confirmation screen to delete your introduction and contact details. This also closes your outgoing invitation link. Duplicate submissions do not overwrite existing contact details. For help after closing the page or on another device, contact the official @vyyb.tribe Instagram account. Existing members can edit details or email news preferences from /account. You can delete your account there too. Deletion removes your application and account and closes your invitation links. Hashed per-invitation redemption records, invitation counts, and administrative audit records remain to prevent reuse and investigate abuse, without keeping your application details. Deleting a signup never restores a spent place.

Updates

Team notifications appear in your Vyyb inbox. Optional email news is a separate preference. This release does not send browser push notifications or run email campaigns. Before opening dating features, we will update this policy with those features, the operating entity, and a public support contact.
